TANDEM COLD MILL:
Taif Steel Solutions’ tandem cold-mill solutions epitomize a combination of high product yields, production flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and streamlined maintenance. The continuous tandem mills from Taif Steel Solutions boast a production capacity that can surpass 1.2 million tons annually, contingent on the product mix. The primary objective is to deliver solutions that maximize added value for customers. Enhanced mill stand actuators play a pivotal role in augmenting yield, ensuring user-friendly mill operation, and producing high-quality strips that adhere to specified tolerance values. We supply both 6-high and 4-high mill stands, tailored to the unique features and advantages identified through meticulous analyses of product and customer requirements.
COUPLED PICKLING:
COUPLED PICKLING LINE & TANDEM COLD MILL
Efficiently producing top-tier products in large quantities is achieved through the seamless integration of pickling and cold-rolling processes, optimizing strip thickness, flatness, and surface quality for diverse applications. This integrated approach results in notable enhancements in mill productivity, yield, and cost-effectiveness by eliminating strip-threading and tailing-out operations. The reduction in strip-head and tail-end losses further enhances overall yield. Unisons’ speed-optimization systems ensure peak throughput rates across various operational conditions, leading to significant reductions in maintenance, roll consumption, and manpower requirements. These combined facilities typically boast production capacities ranging from 1.2 to 2 million tons per annum.
REVERSING COLD MILL:
Taif Steel Solutions presents cutting-edge technology for reversing cold mills, offering an optimal solution tailored for small to medium production capacities and the rolling of smaller orders featuring diverse steel grades. Addressing specific product and customer requirements, Taif Steel Solutions provides 6-high or 4-high mill stands. In the configuration of reversing cold mills, tension reels are strategically positioned at both ends of a single or two-mill-stand setup. While the production efficiency in reversing cold mills is comparatively lower than that of tandem mills due to reversing rolling passes, this technology proves advantageous for the small-batch production of various product types. The flexibility to swiftly adjust rolling parameters for each coil enhances its suitability for diverse production needs. Additionally, the smaller size of the mill equipment facilitates easier access for maintenance purposes. The simplified design of reversing mills allows for convenient stop-and-start operations, making them more cost-effective in terms of both purchase and operation.
SKIN PASS MILL:
Outstanding Flatness and Impeccable Surface Finish. Primetals Technologies’ skin-pass mills, also known as temper mills, offer a range of benefits including strict adherence to narrow strip elongation tolerances, exceptional flatness performance, high-quality surfaces in terms of roughness, peak count, and minimal residuals. These mills provide both wet and dry skin-passing modes. Primetals Technologies delivers stand-alone and inline skin-pass mills, available in single- or two-stand configurations, tailored to adjust the final mechanical properties, flatness, and surface finish of cold-rolled strips. The 6 high UCM-Mill, with its elevated rolling forces, emerges as the preferred solution for skin-passing mills, adept at meeting the escalating demands for strip flatness, elongation, and roughness, especially in the case of hard-material grades.
SPECIAL STEEL MILL:
Streamlined Rolling of Tough Materials: Tailored for the precision rolling of stainless steel, electrical steel, and other specialized steel grades, Taif Steel Solutions presents state-of-the-art steel mills. The predominant setup is the single reversing mill, complemented by diverse designs such as 6-high UCMs (Universal Crown Control Mill), ZR mills, and 12-high cold-rolling mills featuring compact work rolls. These configurations excel in the efficient rolling of high-hardness materials.
